What we collect

• Account details you type in: display name, email address, and an optional phone number if you add one to your profile.
• Content you post: thread titles, replies, private messages to moderators, and any files you choose to attach.
• Technical data: browser type, device category, approximate region, and pages you open while signed in.
• Form submissions: introduction posts, report requests, and messages sent through the contact page.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small set of cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your subforum preferences. Analytics events tell us which threads get read and where people drop off, so we can fix navigation. You can block cookies in your browser; the forum will still load, but you may have to sign in again on each visit.

Why we keep it

Account data keeps your threads tied to you. Post content stays visible so other members can search old answers about paperwork, schools or shipping. Technical logs help us spot spam and abuse. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Who else sees it

Our hosting provider stores the database, an email service delivers notifications and password resets, and an analytics tool records aggregated usage. These processors only act on our instructions. We do not pass your details to advertisers, data brokers or unrelated third parties.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, request corrections, or have your account and posts deleted. You can also withdraw consent for analytics at any time. Members in the EU and UK have the rights set out under the GDPR; members in California have the rights described in the CCPA. Write to us and we will respond within a reasonable period.

How long we keep it

Active accounts stay until you close them. Deleted accounts are removed from the member list, and your posts are either anonymised or taken down on request. Server logs are rotated on a rolling schedule and are not kept longer than needed for security and troubleshooting.
